  1. I have a couple buddies and me that are interested in this. Thing is we have never really played islands before. Can you enlighten some n00bs so we can come and you can take our money? :)

    1. Islands makes the course much harder by implementing extra out of bounds. Lets take hole #1 for example, at its current location it is on the left side of the path. That would mean that if your disk landed on the path or anywhere to the right of the path it would be out of bounds and you would take a penalty. Your disk needs to land on the same side of the path that the basket is on. If you where to throw and your disk never flew over a spot that was in bounds you would need to re-tee and take an out of bounds penalty. For some of the holes like hole 2 and 9 where you throw from out of bounds I will create a drop zone if it becomes a problem getting in bounds for some of the newer players.

    2. So do you just throw from where it lands and take a 1 stroke penalty?

    3. If your disk was ever touching or flew over a section that was in bounds you throw from where it was last in bounds and take a penalty. If your disk never touched of flew over a section that was in bounds you have to re-tee and take a penalty. Ref: http://www.pdga.com/rules/80309-out-of-bounds

  2. More questions :)

What are tags? How does that all work?

On discgolfscene half the times are AM...should they be PM?

    1. When you join a club you will get a tag with a number on it. You are trying to get the lowest number tag you can. If you ever play a tournament you will turn in your tag and at the end they will be redistributed at the end. The best player will get the lowest number. If at any time you see a player out on a course with a tag you can challenge them to a round. Just another fun way to compete with other players. Yes they should be PM I will change that.
